Maarit Sihvonen (born 16 February 1961) is a Finnish swimmer. She competed in three events at the 1984 Summer Olympics.

Hilja Elisabet Riipinen (30 October 1883 – 18 January 1966, née Miklin, later Metsäpolku) was a Finnish politician involved with the nationalist and anti-communist Lapua Movement and Patriotic People's Movement (IKL). She was a member of parliament between 1930 and 1939, first elected from the electoral list of the National Coalition Party, but she defected to the Patriotic People's Movement after it was formed as a political party in 1933.

Major General Erkki Johannes Raappana (June 2, 1893 – September 14, 1962) was the commander of the 14th Division of the Finnish Army during the Second World War.

John August Michaelson (August 12, 1893 – April 16, 1968) was a professional baseball pitcher. He appeared in two games in Major League Baseball in 1921 for the Chicago White Sox. As of 2019, he is the only major league player to have been born in Finland.

Tapio Kinnunen (born 18 January 1954) is a Finnish weightlifter. He competed in the men's middleweight event at the 1980 Summer Olympics. Kinnunen moved to Sweden in 1975, and also has represented Sweden in competitions.

Janne Kuokkanen (born 25 May 1998) is a Finnish ice hockey forward currently playing for London Knights of the OHL. Kuokkanen has previously played for Oulun Kärpät in the Finnish Liiga.

Martti Henrikki Haavio (22 January 1899 – 4 February 1973) was a Finnish poet, folklorist and mythologist, writing poetry under the pen name P. Mustapää. He was born on 22 January 1899 in Temmes, and died 4 February 1973 in Helsinki. He was also a professor of folklore and an influential researcher of Finnish mythology. In 1960, Haavio married Aale Tynni, after his first wife died in 1951 of cancer. His daughter, Elina Haavio-Mannila, is a social scientist. During Haavio's early career, he was a member of the Tulenkantajat literature club.

Kari Tolvanen (13 December 1916 – 1 March 1993) was a Finnish equestrian. He competed in two events at the 1956 Summer Olympics.

Jorma Jaakola (born 13 June 1950) is a Finnish athlete. He competed in the men's javelin throw at the 1976 Summer Olympics.
