The New Adventures of Jonny Quest is a 1980s animated TV series which is a direct sequel and continuation of the original classic 1967 cartoon series Jonny Quest. Debuting in 1986 as part of The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera's syndication package, this series was the seventh and final Hanna-Barbera cartoon of the 4 and a half weekday/weekend morning cartoon line-up. This new series could also be seen and widely regarded as the second season to the former program that was originally conceptualized in 1964 by Doug Wildey and then originally aired from 1967 through 1968 on ABC, then on NBC and thirdly on CBS.
