Godzilla Resurgence[4] (シン・ゴジラ Shin Gojira?) is an upcoming Japanese science fiction kaiju film featuring Godzilla, produced and distributed by Toho. The film is co-directed by Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi with the screenplay written by Anno and the special effects directed by Higuchi. It is intended to be Toho's own reboot of the Godzilla franchise, the film will be the 30th entry in the franchise and the 29th Godzilla film produced by Toho. Godzilla Resurgence is scheduled to be released on July 29, 2016.
