Hair stylist Ric Pipino began his career at age 15 in his native Sydney, Australia. After four years of cutting hair, he moved to London to train in an advanced program with the prominent Schumi Salon. It wasn't long before fashion magazines such as British Vogue were tapping Ric for his "handiwork." The entrepreneur then caught the eye of American beauty editors and fashion designers and moved to New York City in 1981.
For over 30 years, Pipino's celebrity following and editorial career have flourished. His fashion work includes layouts in Vogue, Elle, and GQ, as well as campaigns for Donna Karan and Victoria's Secret. His clients include many Hollywood stars like Jaime Pressly, Fergie, Elle Macpherson, Bridget Moynahan, and Ali Larter, and he's worked with renowned fashion photographers Patrick Demarchelier and Annie Leibovitz. Pipino's cross-generational appeal has also made him a regular contributor on "Oprah," and "Access Hollywood." Ric's innate talent for setting hair trends makes him one of the most sought-after hair stylists in the world.
Aside from his copious editorial work, Ric finds his playground in his salons. Moonlighting between his shops in Miami's Shore Club and New York's Bryant Park Hotel for several years, the stylist chose to settle in Manhattan to focus on perfecting his product line and create Pipino Nolita and Pipino at Spa Chakra on 5th. Ric currently lives in New York City with Jenne Lombardo and their three small children.
