He appeared in the original cast production of "The Iceman Cometh" (as "Cecil Lewis") in 1946, "The Philadelphia Story" (as "Seth Lord") in 1939, "Music in the Air" (as "Ernst Weber") in 1932 and "Topaze" (as "Roger de Berville"), one of the biggest hits of the 1930 theatrical season.
