Ibrahim Khan Lodi, though not forgetting the previous defeat he suffered at Khatoli, led an invasion on the fort of Ranthambore in 1521. However, Rana Sanga decisively defeated him. In appreciation of his victory, Sanga awarded the jagir of Ranthambore to his two younger sons. This move was to cause a lot of harm later on.
