He was an Art Director for a Gazette Newspaper in Burlington, before he decided he wanted to be a comedian.
Along with Amanda Tapping, he is one of only two actors to appear in all ten seasons of Stargate SG-1 (1997) and all five seasons of Stargate: Atlantis (2004).
He has played the same character, Sgt. Walter Harriman, in three different television series: Stargate SG-1 (1997), Stargate: Atlantis (2004) and SGU Stargate Universe (2009).
