The song received generally negative reviews, but achieved success in many European countries where it was a top ten hit.

"Força" (Portuguese for "strength") is a pop folk song written by Canadian singer Nelly Furtado, and Gerald Eaton and Brian West for Furtado's second studio album, Folklore. It is sung mainly in English, with the chorus completely in the Portuguese language. It was produced by Track & Field and received a positive reception from music critics. Released in June 2004, the song was chosen as the official anthem of the 2004 European Football Championship held in Portugal.

Campione 2000 was the official song of the European football championship 2000 in the Netherlands and Belgium. It was performed by Swedish musician E-Type and written by E-Type, Rick Blaskey and Kent Brainerd. The track was also recorded with the help of one million fans around the world through the help of a special online app. American singer Ariana Grande also recorded a demo for the song.

"Endless Summer" is a song by German singer Oceana Mahlmann, from her second album My House (2012), serving as the lead single. It was the official UEFA Euro 2012 theme song. The song uses a sample of the electro track "Blaue Moschee" by German project Die Vögel.

"More Than a Game" is a song written by Peter Jöback and Lasse Holm, and used as official song for the men's 1992 UEFA European Championship in Sweden. Towe Jaarnek and Jöback recorded the song as a duet, and the single peaked at 30th position at the Swedish singles chart. Lyrically, the song deals with being part of a football team, as well as helping/bringing joy each other in life in general.

"Three Lions" is a song released in 1996 as a single by English band The Lightning Seeds to mark the England football team's participation in that year's European Championships, held in England. The music was written by the Lightning Seeds' Ian Broudie, with comedians David Baddiel and Frank Skinner — presenters of football-themed comedy show Fantasy Football League at the time — providing the lyrics.

"We Are the People" is a song by Dutch DJ Martin Garrix, featuring Bono and the Edge from Irish rock band U2. It was officially released on 14 May 2021 as the official song for the UEFA Euro 2020. It was first performed in full at a virtual opening ceremony at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

"We're in This Together" is a song by British soul and pop band Simply Red. It was released as the fourth and last single from their album, Life. The song was chosen as the official song for UEFA Euro 1996 held in England. Simply Red performed at the opening and closing ceremony.
