Beaver Lumber (Castor Bricoleur in Quebec) was a Canadian building supply chain owned by Molson. It was once Canada's fourth largest building supply chain with 138 stores. In 2000, it was purchased by Home Hardware, a cooperative of over 1,000 independent Canadian hardware stores. Beaver Lumber stores were rebranded as Home Building Centres.

González Padín was a high-end department store based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The chain which operated in Puerto Rico at its peak had 10 stores. The chain closed in 1995, and at the time of closure it was the biggest and oldest department store on the island.

It was then acquired by English company Harrods, and was a favorite of the city's upper class. Among the large variety of products sold at Gath & Chaves stores were clothing, furniture, perfumes, phonograph records, shoes, tableware, and toys.

The chain is part of the Ahold Delhaize group based in the Netherlands, and is a sister company to formerly competing New England supermarket chain Stop & Shop.
