César Augusto Cielo Filho (Portuguese pronunciation: born January 10, 1987) is a Brazilian competitive swimmer who specializes in sprint events. He is the most successful Brazilian swimmer in history, having obtained three Olympic medals, winning six individual World Championship gold medals and breaking two world records.

Mark Andrew Spitz (born February 10, 1950) is an American former competitive swimmer and nine-time Olympic champion. He was the most successful athlete at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, winning seven gold medals, all in world record time. This was an achievement that lasted for 36 years until it was surpassed by fellow American Michael Phelps, who won eight golds at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

Richard "Ricky" Berens (born April 21, 1988) is an American former competition swimmer, two-time Olympic gold medalist, world champion, and current world record-holder. As a member of the U.S. national team, he holds the world record in the 4×200-meter freestyle relay (long course). He competed in the 4×100-meter and 4×200-meter freestyle relay events, as well as the individual 200-meter freestyle at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Mark Andrew Henderson (born November 14, 1969) is an American former competition swimmer, Olympic champion, and former world record-holder. He is an Olympic gold medalist, three-time World champion, two-time Pan American Games champion, four-time Pan Pacific champion and five-time U.S. National champion. He competed at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, where he was the butterfly leg of the gold medal 4×100-meter medley relay, which set the world, Olympic, American, and U.S. Open records.

Fernando de Queiroz Scherer (born October 6, 1974) is a Brazilian former international swimmer. He won the bronze medal in the 50-meter freestyle at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and another bronze medal four years later in Sydney with the Brazilian relay team in the 4×100-meter freestyle.

Ambrose "Rowdy" Gaines IV (born February 17, 1959) is an American former competitive swimmer, U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame member, three-time Olympic gold medalist, and member of the International Swimming Hall of Fame. He is the chief fundraiser for USA Swimming as well as a swimming analyst for television networks ESPN and NBC. He has covered swimming at every Olympic Games since 1996, including the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics, the London 2012 Summer Olympics, and the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics.

Seth Van Neerden (born 1968) is a former national record-holding swimmer and national team member from the United States. He competed at the 1995 Pan American Games, where he won three gold medals: as part of the American team's winning 4×100-meter medley relay, and for winning the 100- and 200-meter breaststroke events. He received a bronze medal at the 1993 FINA Short Course World Championships.

William Norval Craig (January 16, 1945 – January 1, 2017) was an American competition swimmer, Olympic champion, and world record-holder. He represented the United States at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, where he won a gold medal by swimming the breaststroke leg for the first-place U.S. team in the men's 4×100-meter medley relay. Craig and his teammates Thompson Mann (backstroke), Fred Schmidt (butterfly) and Steve Clark (freestyle) set a new medley relay world record of 3:58.4. Craig attended the University of Southern California (USC), where he swam for the USC Trojans swimming and diving team. He graduated in 1967.

John Joseph Murphy (born July 19, 1953) is an American former backstroke and freestyle swimmer who won a gold medal as a member of the U.S. team in the men's 4×100-meter freestyle relay at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany. At the 1972 Olympics, the 19-year-old also earned a bronze medal in the men's 100-meter backstroke. He attended Indiana University, where he swam for coach James Counsilman's Indiana Hoosiers swim team in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) competition.
