Waterford Wedgwood plc was an Irish holding company for a group of firms that specialized in the manufacture of high-quality porcelain, bone china and glass products, mostly for use as tableware or home decor. The group was dominated by Irish businessman Tony O'Reilly and his family, including his wife Chryss Goulandris and her family, with the two families together having invested hundreds of millions of euros in it. The group's financial record was mixed, and significant cost-cutting had been ongoing for many years.

Mycro Sportsgear is a manufacturer and retailer of helmets and sliotars (balls) and other equipment used in the game of hurling. It was founded in the mid-1980s, and is based in Ballincollig in Ireland. As of 2010, when new Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) rules made the wearing of helmets compulsory, Mycro Sportsgear was one of three manufacturers with helmets meeting the expected standard. Later, the company made the first helmet to pass the National Standards Authority of Ireland IS 355 safety standard for hurling helmets.

Timoney designs and develops a variety of standard armoured and soft skin mobility systems for military, commercial and specialist applications, principally utilising an independent suspension technology.

iQon Technologies Ltd was a manufacturer of personal and notebook computers and consumer electronics based in Dundalk, Louth, Ireland. The company marketed computers through retailers across the United Kingdom and exported to Europe and North Africa.

McHale is an Irish firm manufacturing a range of farm machinery. McHale is located in the West of Ireland in the town of Ballinrobe, which is approximately 40 km North of Galway City.
