Malaysian women senators

Rafidah binti Aziz (Jawi: رافيده بنت عزيز; born 4 November 1943) is a Malaysian politician who was Member of Parliament (MP) for the Selayang from 1978 to 1982 and Kuala Kangsar constituency from 1982 to 2013. Born in Kuala Kangsar, Perak, Rafidah was Minister of International Trade and Industry from 1987 to 2008. As minister, she was the chairman of MATRADE beginning in 1991. Presently she is a member of Malaysian United Indigenous Party or Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU), a component of Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition, after she was sacked from United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) of Barisan Nasional (BN) in 2018.

Puan Sri Datin Janaky Devar (25 February 1925 – 9 May 2014), better known as Janaky Athi Nahappan, was a founding member of the Malaysian Indian Congress and one of the earliest women involved in the fight for Malaysian (then Malaya) independence.

Shahrizat binti Abdul Jalil (Jawi: شهريزت بنت عبدالجليل; born 15 August 1953) is a Malaysian politician who served in the Cabinet of Malaysia as Minister of Women, Family and Community Development from 2009 to 2012. She was the Member of Parliament for Lembah Pantai from 1995 to 2008 and subsequently served as a Senator in the Dewan Negara.

Dato' Hajjah Azizah binti Mohd Dun (Jawi: عزيزه بنت محمد دون; born 27 March 1955) is a Malaysian politician. She is the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Beaufort constituency in Sabah, presently representing the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU) since 2019. She had earlier left United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) party in the opposition Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition to be an Independent politician in 2018. She is also the former State Minister for Community Development and Consumer Affairs.

Ng Yen Yen (Chinese: 黄燕燕; pinyin: Huáng Yàn Yàn; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: N̂g Iàn-iàn; born 10 April 1946) is a Malaysian politician who had served in the Cabinet of Malaysia as Minister of Women, Family and Community Developmment from 2008 to 2009 and Minister of Tourism from 2009 to 2013. Her appointment as a full minister marked a milestone as the first Malaysian Chinese woman to hold a cabinet position.

Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun (Chinese: 周美芬; pinyin: Zhōu Měifēn; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Chiu Bí-hun; born 17 October 1964) is a Malaysian politician who was the Secretary-General of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA). She is a former two-term Member of Parliament (MP) of Malaysia for Petaling Jaya Utara from 1999 to 2008. She is also a former Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development.

Aishah binti Haji Ghani (15 December 1923 – 19 April 2013) was the Minister of Social Welfare Malaysia between 1973 and 1984, and Head of Wanita UMNO women's Malaysia between 1972 until 1984.

Tan Ah Eng (simplified Chinese: 曾亚英; traditional Chinese: 曾亞英; pinyin: Zēng Yà Yīng) (22 August 1955 – 10 August 2013) was a Malaysian politician. She was the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Gelang Patah constituency in the state of Johor from 2004 to 2013. She was member of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), a component party of ruling Barisan Nasional coalition then.

Dato' Hajjah Siti Zailah binti Mohd Yusoff (Jawi: سيتي زايله بنت محمد يوسف; born 12 October 1963) is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and Minister Rina Harun since March 2020 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Rantau Panjang since March 2008. She is a member and Women Chief of the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS), a component party of the ruling PN coalition.

Nicole Wong Siaw Ting (Chinese: 王曉庭; pinyin: Wáng Xiǎotíng; Jyutping: Wong4 Hiu2 Ting4; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Ông Hiáu-têng; born 9 August 1980) is a Malaysian politician from BN (MCA). She is a member of the Dewan Negara. She is the first female MCA Youth Chief in the history of 63 years. MCA Youth was established in 1955, it is a wing of MCA that includes 100% men until it opened its membership to women in 2013.
