Economy of Qatar

Dr. Ibrahim Ibrahim (Arabic: الدكتور إبراهيم إبراهيم‎) was the former Secretary General for the General Secretariat for Development Planning (GSDP). He was the Secretary General from 2006 until June 2011. He became an Economic Advisor to Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, from 1988 to 2013.

Qatar National Vision 2030 (Arabic: رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030; abbreviated as QNV 2030) is a development plan launched in October 2008 by the General Secretariat for Development Planning in the State of Qatar. The aim of QNV 2030 is to "transform Qatar into an advanced society capable of achieving sustainable development" by 2030. The plan's development goals are divided into four central pillars: economic, social, human, and environmental development. The government seeks to meet development goals by developing a strong bureaucratic framework and implementing strategies to address the challenges presented in human development reports.

The General Secretariat for Development Planning (GSDP) (Arabic: الأمانة العامة للتخطيط التنموي) is a governmental agency in the State of Qatar, established through an Emiri Decision No (39) in 2006 and amended by Emiri Decision No (50) in 2009. The GSDP coordinates plans, strategies and policies in support of Qatar's National Vision 2030.

Mayhoola for Investments LLC or simply Mayhoola is an investment holding incorporated under the laws of the State of Qatar, and located in Doha, Qatar. The group is managed and owned by the Qatar royal family.

The Ministry of Finance is the ministry responsible for handling Qatar's public finances.

The Qatar Chamber (Arabic: غرفة قطر) was founded in 1963 as the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Arabic: غرفة تجارة وصناعة قطر) to promote and protect the interests of companies in the agricultural, industrial and commercial sectors of the economy of the country.

The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) is a business and financial centre located in Doha, Qatar, providing legal and regulatory services for local and international companies. Established in March 2005, it advances the Qatari government’s economic policy and contributes to the country's economic diversification and development plans, attracting investment by offering a favorable legal, regulatory, tax and business environment.

Qatar Tourism (QT) (Arabic: قطر للسياحة/الهيئة العامة للسياحة), a branch of the Government of Qatar, is the apex body responsible for the formulation and administration of the rules, regulations and laws relating to the development and promotion of tourism in Qatar. This ministry is responsible for tourist attractions and accommodations for travelers, including all tourism related products and services, to expand and diversify of Qatar's tourism industry, as well as building up the role of tourism in the GDP of the country and its future growth and social development.
