    The Toronto Raptors are a Canadian professional basketball team based in Toronto. The Raptors compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. The team plays its home games at Scotiabank Arena, which it shares with the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League (NHL). The team was founded in 1995 as part of the NBA's expansion into Canada, along with the Vancouver Grizzlies. Since the 2001–02 season, the Raptors have been the only Canadian-based team in the league, as the Grizzlies relocated from Vancouver to Memphis, Tennessee.

The Growlers are the third professional basketball team to be based in the St. John's area after the St. John's Edge of the National Basketball League of Canada and the Newfoundland Rogues of the American Basketball Association.

They played in the league's Pacific Northwest Division. The Balloholics played their home games at the British Columbia Institute of Technology BCIT Gymnasium in Burnaby, British Columbia. In 2017 the team became a Training League for Youth Basketball for Victory Sports Camps and training Youth for U11, U12, U15 and U17 Leagues at High Schools and Elementary Schools around Burnaby, British Columbia.
