Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi (translation: This Is Being Street–Smart) is a 1988 Indian Marathi-language comedy buddy film directed by Sachin Pilgaonkar and produced by Kiran Shantaram under the production banner of V. Shantaram Productions. Widely regarded as one of the greatest comedy films in Marathi cinema industry, it stars an ensemble cast of Ashok Saraf, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Laxmikant Berde, Siddharth Ray, Ashwini Bhave, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Priya Arun, Nivedita Joshi, Nayantara, Viju Khote, and Sudhir Joshi.

De Danadan (transl. Hit Left and Right) is a 1987 Indian Marathi-language action comedy film directed and produced by Mahesh Kothare under the banner of Jenma Films International. The film stars Laxmikant Berde, Mahesh Kothare, Nivedita Joshi, Prema Kiran, Jairam Kulkarni, Deepak Shirke and Ambar Kothare.

Umbartha (IPA: Umbaraṭhā; English: The Doorstep) is a 1982 Indian Marathi-language film produced by D. V. Rao and directed and coproduced by Jabbar Patel. The film is a story of a woman's dream to step outside her four walled home and bring change in the society. Smita Patil played the lead protagonist in the film for which she won Marathi Rajya Chitrapat Puraskar for Best Actress. The film was adjudged as the Best Feature Film in Marathi at the 29th National Film Awards for "a sincere cinematic statement on the theme of a woman seeking to establish her identity by pursuing a career, even at the risk of alienation from her family".

Gammat Jammat (translation: Fun And Frotic) is a 1987 Indian Marathi-language comedy film written by Shantaram Nandgaonkar, directed by Sachin Pilgaonkar and produced by Satish Kulkarni under the production banner of Shree Tulsi Productions. The film stars an ensemble cast of Ashok Saraf, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Varsha Usgaonkar, Charusheela Sable, Shrikant Moghe, Ashalata Wabgaonkar, Viju Khote, Satish Shah and Sudhir Joshi. The music was composed by Arun Paudwal.

Shabas Sunbai (transl. Well done daughter-in-law) is an Indian Marathi-language family drama film produced and written by Bhalji Pendharkar and directed by Prabhakar Pendharkar, starring Ajinkya Deo and debutant Ashwini Bhave in the lead roles.

Bhalu (transl. The Bear) is a Marathi-language movie released in October 1980. The movie has been produced by Uma Bhende and directed by Rajdutt.

Premasathi Vattel Te is a Marathi movie released in May 1987. Produced by Uma Prakash Bhende and directed by Dutta Keshav. The movie is a rib tickling farce filled with mishaps and misunderstandings leading to a hilarious climax.

Maaficha Sakshidar (lit. 'Witness to the prosecution') is a 1986 Indian Marathi film directed by Rajdutt, starring Nana Patekar, Mohan Gokhale, Avinash Kharshikar and Usha Naik. The film is based on the infamous Joshi-Abhyankar serial murders which took place in Pune during 1976-77.

Thartharat (transl. Tremble) is a 1989 Indian Marathi-language action comedy film co-written and directed by Mahesh Kothare and produced by Arvind Samant. The film stars Mahesh Kothare, Laxmikant Berde, Nivedita Joshi, Priya Arun, Deepak Shirke, Jairam Kulkarni and Rahul Solapurkar. The music was composed by Anil Mohile.

Jhanjhaar (Fire) is a 1987 Hindi social drama film directed by V. Shantaram. Made under Rajkamal Kalamandir banner it was a V. Shantaram Productions film. It had music by Kalyanji Anandji. The film starred Sushant Ray (Shantaram's grandson), with Padmini Kolhapure, and the rest of the cast included Yunus Parvez, Sudhir Pandey and Ranjana Deshmukh (niece of Hindi film actress Sandhya who was V. Shantaram's wife). Ranjana's career came to a halt when she met with a car accident on the way to the shooting of this film in Bangalore.
