Begum Para was an actress; she worked in Hindi Film Industry, Bollywood. She was born in Jhelum, Punjab. Her father, Mian Ehsan-ul-Haq, was a chief justice. She married to Nasir Khan, younger brother of Dilip Kumar, actor. The couple had three children; Ayub Khan, the actor, is the son of Begum Para. Begum Para made her debut in the film ‘Chand’ released in 1944. Further, she appeared in movies like ‘Sohni Mahiwal’ (1946), ‘Zanjeer’ (1947), ‘Neel Kamal’ (1947) and many more.

Her last performance on screen was in 2007; when she acted in the film ‘Saawariya’. Begum Para died on 9th December 2008. She was 81 years of age when she died.

Husband Nasir Khan developed Alopecia and lost his hair and eye brows. This caused his acting career to end. 5. Husband Nasir Khan was first married to Suraya (Suriya) Nazir (Begum) the daughter of legendary Pakistani filmmaker Nazir Ahmed Khan. From this marriage he had a daughter Naheed Khan who still survives him. Former father in law Nazir Ahmed Khan was first married to his cousin Sikandara Begum (who was the sister of K. Today, the son of late Nazir, Akhtar Nazir Khan aka Cooki is intensively engaged in reviving the Pakistani Cinema and works hard to provide the audience, both home and abroad, with the same perfectly mastered and creative films that once were a pride of Nazir in the South Asia. 6. Husband Nasir Khan made his acting debut in 1945 in Mazdoor. After a few films, he shifted to Lahore after partition and starred in the first ever Pakistani film Teri Yaad in 1948 He acted in another Pakistani film Shahida in 1949. Both films failed to do well and Nasir returned to India in 1951. He resumed his acting career in Bombay, acting in several films throughout the 1950's. 7. Grandaughter is world famous jewelry designer Kichu Dandiya. Kichu is the owner of the jewelry label "Kichu". Kichu Dandiya is the daughter of Lubna Mohammed Nasir Khan. Lubna is the daughter former actor Nasir Khan (Dilip Kumar's brother). Lubna has another child named Ashu Dandiya. 8. Had a brother who passed away in a airplane crash. 9. Was offered the lead role in Hollywood movie Bhowani Junction but lost the role to Ava Gardner . This was due to Indian government not granting shooting permission in India.
