If I had to hear the High School Musical (2006) (TV) songs anymore, I would have jumped off of something really tall. (On why he chose not to do the High School Musical Tour.)
The songwriters decided to give Link a cool, upbeat, Elvis-style number, and it's the perfect time for it in the movie. 'Ladies Choice' establishes the connection between Tracy and Link. And it's the kind of number you need in a sixties musical: the rock 'n' roll band at the record hop, with bright colors and backup dancers.
I don't have a Twitter, a MySpace or a Facebook or anything like that... I kind of value in people not knowing where I am or what I'm doing.
I didn't realise how it happened, but my leg was trapped between 2theater seats and I couldn't get it out!It was so funny, because to destroy a seat to let my leg free.
When I was younger,I could hear a song on the radio,I was able to learn it by heart immediately.Of course, wasn't proud for that because my parents were yelling:"Please, stop singing,it's annoying!".
(about rejecting the lead role for the "Footloose" remake) I wanted a new challenge, and this was another musical. Not that I'm done with musicals in any way. I just want to try different things
I wouldn't call myself hot. I looked about 10 years old until the summer of my junior year (of high school). I also used to go shopping at Goodwill. I would always come home with some ugly flannel that was too big for me, but I felt rebellious wearing it. My mom hated it. I look back now, and I think I just looked like an idiot.
(about his teen days) I wore goofy hats to school and did musical theater. Most people thought I was a dork. But if you have a sense of humor about it, no one can bring you down.
(about the hardest part of doing musicals) Oh man, I don't know. It's all fun, and the hardest part is probably the most fun part, as well. It's the preparation...it's like high school, you know? You come together with your best group of friends, and then you end it. It's like a really good summer camp.
The fans make the person a star. (edit) Zac: Great advice comes from people that have been around a lot longer than you.
(following rumours he would follow in Daniel Radcliffe's shoes and star in Broadway play 'Equus') Daniel was very ballsy. Oh wow, that is the wrong choice of word for that! He is very smart. But I don't know if I would do something edgy for the sake of doing something edgy. I think as I mature, so will my roles. I think it will come with time. I'm not going to do anything drastic.
admitting he's not a great dancer) I grew up being into sports and I wasn't trained to move my body in the right way for dancing. I'm the last one to get any moves correct. In rehearsals it's always, 'OK, one more take for Zac.
refuting claims he doesn't shower) I assure you I showered this morning - minutes before I got here. And I do it every day. Sometimes twice. So, that's kind of funny. But my dad was kind of like razzing me for it. I can't help but laugh!
A fan sent me a letter and a $10 bill. It's a short letter - all she said was, "Hey, since it's harder for you to go out these days without getting photographed, here $10 for a pizza." I was like, "Aww, she sent me money for a pizza so I could eat at home!"
Zac: There's probably one instance I can think of when singing to a girl worked for me I've tried. As for dancing, you can't really go up to a girl and bust into a cool dance move. Zac: Honestly, if the worst these people can say about me is that I'm gay, then I think I'll be fine. I can handle it.
