William McNamara

stars  McNamara is an animal rights activist and vegan. He got his start rescuing cats, dogs, and horses, and now travels the world advocating animal rights. McNamara has produced several documentaries, including the Nat Geo Wild Network: Animal Intervention, an exposé on the exotic animal industry in the United States.

stars  McNamara attended elite all boys boarding schools - Eaglebrook in Massachusetts for grade school, and Salisbury in Connecticut for high school. He attended Columbia University, but did not graduate having left to pursue his acting career. McNamara also studied acting at the Lee Strasburg Institute in New York.

stars  McNamara's father was a professional race car driver for the Ford Motor Company. His mother was an interior designer whose best friend was actress Valerie Perrine. After his parents split, his mother remarried a New York City Wall Street financier whose family were socialites. He was sent to boarding school, and the family wanted him to go to college instead of pursuing an acting career.
