Mini Bio (1) Sofia Richie was born Sofia Alexandra Richie on August 24, 1998 in Los Angeles California to music icon Lionel Richie and her mother, Diane Alexander. She is the younger half-sister to entrepreneur and fashionista, Nicole Richie, and made her debut on Nicole's hit TV show, Candidly Nicole (2014), on VH-1, when she was 15 years old.

Richie's modeling career took off in 2014 with her first break in Who What Wear, a feature in Elle Magazine, cover story for NationAlist Magazine, the face of Mary Grace Swim and teamed up with Teen Vogue and Olay for the #FreshtoSchool online campaign that year. Closing out the year, she inked a deal and signed with L.A. Models and Select Model Management.

In early 2015, Sofia was busy shooting editorial spreads for: Unleash'd, Elle Girl - Japan, Nylon, Fault, Dazed and Love Culture magazine. She announced in April that she landed her first magazine cover, on the first-ever issue of 'Popular' magazine. From there, she went on to shoot with brands: Young & Reckless, Brandy Melville and graced the cover of July's ASOS magazine. Sofia has had quite the year, Stella McCartney personally reached out to her to attend as one of her guests at the 2015 Met Ball. It was announced in August by pop legend, Madonna, that Sofia would be the new face of her clothing line, Material Girl. This would mark the 5th anniversary for the clothing line that's sold exclusively at Macy's and consists of apparel, footwear, handbags, jewelry and accessories.

At only 17 years old, Sofia is already climbing her way to the top of the modeling industry. She has recently shot editorial spreads for; V, Galore, Clam, W, VVV and C- magazines and is currently being courted for a TV show.

Sofia is represented by Alex Avant, entertainment executive, son of music and entertainment legend, Clarence Avant.
