Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki are engaged to be married after the golfer proposed to the tennis ace in Sydney.
Wozniacki is preparing to compete in the APIA International in the harbour city, where they spent New Year's Eve and took in the renowned fireworks.
The Danish former world No 1 confirmed the news on her Twitter account.
'Happy new year everyone! Rory and I started 2014 with a bang! ...I said YES!!!!' she posted.
It's been reported Mcllroy broke it off with Wozniacki over the phone.
Wozniacki said to "Stuff": "Obviously you're not prepared for something like this, and it came as a bit of a shock."
