Bryce Dallas Howard plays Taron Egerton's mother in this film. In reality, she is only eight years older.


Jamie Bell (who plays Bernie Taupin) played the lead role in the film version of BILLY ELLIOT in 2000. Elton John was a key figure in helping develop the stage version of the film.
