The second wife of actor Burt Lancaster. Norma Anderson and Burt Lancaster were married on December 28, 1946 in Yuma, Arizona. They had five children including screenwriter Bill Lancaster [1947-1997]. She and Lancaster separated on January 4, 1966. She was awarded custody of the three minor children, and they divided the community property, valued at over two million dollars. On July 21, 1988, Norma Lancaster passed away at the age of seventy-one. The causes were pneumonia and a stroke, exacerbated by alcoholic liver disease. Her body was cremated and her children held a memorial service with Burt Lancaster in attendance.
