Renfield, Dracula's assistant, was modeled after Peter Lorre, main star of M (1931).

This movie is based on a short 4D cinema/ride at a tourist attraction in the UK called "Wookey Hole". The animation and basic premise are the same - a family transformed into monsters - but it occurs on a roller coaster ride.

Sidney Dorn plays the character of Bull.

Dracula has an assistant called Renfield. In the original novel Bram Stoker's Dracula, R.M. Renfield was a lawyer who turns mad after meeting Dracula, helping him to travel London to capture Mina Murray.

When Wishbone family are turned in monsters, it replicates, almost completely, The Munsters (1964): Frank is a version of Herman Munster (Frankenstein's creature), Emma is a version Lilly Munster (vampire) and Max is a version of Eddie Munster (werewolf). The only exception is Fay, turned in a mummy meanwhile Marilyn Munster was the only human being in the family.

Imhotep has the power to create a sandstorm. In The Mummy (1999), Imhotep creates a sandstorm to defeat Rick O'Connell and his friends.

Dracula has three little bats as pets. They are a tribute for The Three Stooges.

In the desert, Fay meets a mummy called Imhotep. In The Mummy (1999), Arnold Vosloo's character is a mummy called Imhotep.

Dracula's pets (three little bats) never speak. They also have no name.

Catherine Tate's character is a witch named Baba Yaga. Baba Yaga is a popular witch from the Slavic mythology, and main star of Baba Yaga (1973).
