Katherine "Katy" Textor a CBS veteran collaborated with Morley Safer on 60 Minutes. Over a 12-year period with Safer, she produced profiles, features and investigations, including the first interview with Ruth Madoff in 2011, which was watched by nearly 19 million.

Textor came to CBS News in 2003 from ABC News, where she was a White House producer and political reporter on the Bush-Gore 2000 presidential race and worked for the documentary unit. She began working with Safer at 60 Minutes in 2004, also producing stories for other correspondents, including the first televised interview with a Theranos whistle blower and story about the Syrian refugee crisis.

Textor was born in Seattle, where she grew up. She attended Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts and later served on the school's board of trustees. Textor was squash team co-captain at the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated in 1996 with a bachelor's degree from the Annenberg School of Communication.

(1) Born to George and Wendy Textor, Katywas the oldest of three children.

(2) Attended the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in communications and graduating with honors.

(3) She died on June 14, 2019 of cancer in Manhattan, less than a month after her 45th birthday. She battled the disease for two and a half years. Memorial service held on June 20th at Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church in Manhattan. Her family requested memorial donations be made to Stand Up To Cancer.

(4) Had two brothers, Clinton and Andrew Textor.

(5) Katy is survived by her parents, George and Wendy Textor, her two brothers, Clinton and Andrew, as well as their wives, two nieces and six nephews, husband Colin Farmer and their two children, Riley (eleven) and Will (eight).
