Artist and underground filmmaker James Tully lives in New York. Best known for his semi-narrative films and institutional film/video installations, and `blackboard paintings`.
`Stylized Banalities`, a semi-narrative film screened at New York`s Whitney Museum, was commentary for the `Warhol Look` exhibition. Tully has also shown video art at PS1/MoMA, in collaboration with sculptor Alfredo Martinez. In 2005, Tully exhibited `Plan B`, a series of his blackboard paintings at the Chelsea Art Museum.
