Jackie was raised and educated in San Juan, Puerto Rico. After graduating from high school, she moved with her family to the Bronx in New York City. Jackie had dreamed of becoming an actress since she was a child. She went to many auditions and at times landed some roles which required modeling.
Career Guerrido debuted in television via commercials for clothes and beverages. Just as her captivating beauty won her modeling contracts, her sultry voice opened doors in the world of radio broadcasting. Jackie was offered a job in a morning radio show called "El Vacilon de la Mañana" (Goofing Off in the Morning) transmitted through MEGA 97.9, by a producer who heard her doing a voice-over. Soon, she received an offer from the radio station Romance 106.7 FM in Miami, Florida.
Jackie settled down in Miami and she joined the HBC Radio Company, after working in Romance for a year. There she was given the opportunity to co-host a radio program including news and traffic. Eventually, she was given her own music show in Salsa 98.3 FM. She also landed a job in television as a traffic reporter for "Telemundo" Channel 51, working for both the radio and television at the same time.
Career as Weatherperson Univision took notice of Jackie and offered her a job as a weather presenter in the TV show "Al Amanacer de Noticias 23" (Morning News on Channel 23). She was totally unaware of what her job required and took a course in meteorology in the University of Florida.
Jackie is currently the weather presenter for Despierta America (Wake-Up America), which is one of the most popular television programs among the Hispanic community in the United States and has been a weather reporter on Primer Impacto (First Impact) with Barbara Bermudo.
Jackie enrolled in the University of Florida, where she is majoring in journalism. She is divorced and has two children, ages 13 and 15. In 2004 Jackie Guerrido was named the "Good Will Ambassador" of the Puerto Rican Day Parade celebrated in New York City.
Jackie Guerrido has been quoted as being possibly "the sexiest weatherperson to ever heat up the airwaves" with a "seductive wardrobe" to match. She is popular among male viewers because of her toned body (earlier in her career she spent at least and over 4 hours daily at a gym) and her tremendous breasts, which she prefers not to expose.
