When I was in school I read a lot of comic books and pretend I was in them and kids would tease me and call me names. But now I do the same things and people say that I'm artistic and cool and I'm doing the exact same thing I did in high school. It wasn't a very artistic school.

I was in the Vancouver airport, and I was speaking with a young girl. She asked if I was Freddie Prinze Jr., and I said I was. She kind of giggled, and while I was talking with her, her girlfriend ran up and took my sandwich. I did not call out after her. I didn't know what to do. I had never had anyone steal food from me before. How do you react if someone takes your sandwich? I just finished my cup of coffee and got on the plane and flew home. (On children) "I will be the best father you've ever seen. I will win father of the year everytime. And Sarah will be the most fantastic mother."

I really tried to live on my own world that no one would want to be a part of. Unfortunately, that backfired, and people wanted to kick the crap out of me because I was different.

Y'know, the way I see it there's no such thing as being perfect. We're all pretty much made the same but some people are better at certain things than others. Everybody is great at something...you just have to find what that is.

(on his career choice) (Acting is) the only thing I'm good at. I know how to create and make people feel something. Honestly, if I didn't do this, I would just have some minimum-wage job in New Mexico, and I would go out on the weekends and make just enough money to pay my insurance and pay for a couple beers, and that would be it.

It's insane what I see people doing, but they're not going to listen to me, so what am I going to do? I've said a couple of things to a couple of people, but they're not going to learn anything from me. They've got it made, making $12 million a movie, so they don't get it. They don't recognize it as a problem, because it helps them forget about their problems. And if anybody who works with them tries to tell them, usually those people get fired

It only takes 30 seconds to pluck my eyebrows, but it hurts. I have to tweeze them in the middle once a week. Otherwise, I look like Bert from "Sesame Street" (1969). I've been doing it for 11 years.

The pole we were using as a light sabre hit the ground before I hit the ground and then it stuck in my chin. When it came out a big old piece of my chin came with it and my mom ran out screaming and she grabbed the piece of my chin and we rushed to the hospital. They put it back in and stitched it in and it looked like I had a beard at five years old with my stitches. - On that scar on his chin

After years of feeling like an outsider, I finally have a woman I love, and friends that I can trust. I am the luckiest man in the world to have met Sarah.

Being a teenager is the roughest (time of your life) and that's when your emotions are going 90 mph. I'd get angry or sad or I isolated myself a little and then I looked for help.

The person who most inspires me today would probably be Evander Holyfield. I like the fact that he's very calm and spiritual and knows what he wants. He gives so much back to the community.

Kissing Claire was good. I was really nervous, though. I hadn't kissed many girls in real life. - about his scene with Claire Danes in the film To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday (1996).

Drugs are the sucker's way, man, and I'm not a sucker. I don't smoke, do blow, or hardly ever drink, but there's still a fear: what if it's genetic? I want to be like Evander Holyfield, who has a work ethic, morals, a real heart, who understands his responsibility to hep other people, To me, that's an American hero living an American dream.

(on Valentine's Day) I think it's kind of a crock, and here's why: I believe we should be doing that every day (...) make your girl feel special whenever you can. I'm a big big believer in surprises. You've got to be romantic all of the time. Guys, you can hate me or whatever for saying this, but you know what you should do.
