Danny John-Jules, who plays Officer Dwayne Myers in the series, also starred in Red Dwarf as the character Cat. Cat's alter ego was also known as Dwayne (although spelled differently - it was Duane Dibbley).

Ben Miller appeared in the 8th season's "Robot of Sherwood" as The Sheriff of Nottingham opposite Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor.

Although the series is set on the fictional island of Saint-Marie, it is in fact filmed in the French owned islands of Guadeloupe. The police station is located in the town of Honoré, which is actually on the island of Basse-Terre, in the town of Deshaies.
