Dean Factor

Dean Jay Factor has been part of the business world since his early years at Beverly Hills High School. After high school was out for the day Dean worked part time at Drexel Burnham Lambert as a broker's assistant which secured himself a full time position in the New York offices while at American University during the summer. After completing his undergraduate degree in Business Adminstration in 1987, Dean moved home and began work for Eldon Industries, a publicly-owned (eld) office products company, as an analysts. Dean acquired valuable experience in various areas of the business while working at Eldon, ranging from finance and computer management to marketing and inventory control.

Dean eventually went to obtain his MBA from the University of Southern California in 1990. While at USC, Dean and his brother Davis came upon the original SmashBox Studio location in Santa Monica, CA. which was originally a showroom for boat sales. Equipped with the business savvy he acquired in the field while studying for his MBA, Dean joined his older brother at the original studio in 1989 and Smashbox Enterprises was born.

Presently, Dean acts as Chairman of the Board and CEO of Smashbox Enterprises Smashbox is comprised of smashbox studio, smashbox cosmetics, and the photogencis modeling agency as well as LA fashion week. Dean also sits on the Board of Directors for Covenant House of California and he is a member of the Young Presidents Organization Malibu Chapter where he holds the office of Treasurer.

He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Shannon and their two children Claire and Alexander.
