Trivia (6) 1. She was one of the children hired to augment the children's singing voices in The Sound of Music (1965). 2. In 1982, her two-year-old son had a blood transfusion during an operation. The blood was tainted with HIV and he died six months later. However, Cedars-Sinai doctors initially said he died from a genetic immune deficiency. Years later the hospital lost a lawsuit and had to send out letters to parents of children (Darleen included) admitting they may have died of AIDS. 3.
