Bio Born in Bordeaux, she spent some of her youth in the south of France, before moving to Paris when she was 8 years old. She was 15 years old when she first attended the Cours Simon, a famous Parisian acting school. Later, she was one of Jean Laurent Cochet’s student.

She first appeared in short films and commercials. And then in 1993, she made her first appearance in a feature film : « Coup de jeune » by Xavier Gelin, with Jean Carmet. In 1994, Barbara stared with Vincent Lindon in « L’Irrésolu » by Jean Pierre Ronssin and in 1995, she made her debut on stage in « The Crucibles » by Arthur Miller in which she played the fierce Abigail.

In 1996, the TV serie « Terre Indigo », she had filmed in Cuba for 7 months was one of the most successful TV show aired in France. Between 1997 and 1999, she was twice on stage in the prestigious National Theater of Chaillot. Directed by Jerôme Savary, she was Lucille in « The Bourgeois Gentilhomme » by Moliere and Annabella in « ‘Tis a pity she’s a whore » by John Ford.

Then she was Gerard Depardieu’s daughter in « Les portes du ciel » in Théâtre de Paris and won her first Moliere ‘s nomination. ( French Tony award). She also won a Cesar nomination in 2000 for best Young actress in « La dilettante » by Pascal Thomas. She was Julie in the great theater success « Joyeuses Pâques »by Jean Poiret, directed by Bernard Murat. She won a Moliere for Best young actress for this role and a Suzanne Bianchetti award for « Un aller simple » by Laurent Heynemann.

In 2003, she was « Antigone » by Jean Annouilh. This was her first collaboration with Nicolas Briançon. He will direct her again in 2005 in « Pygmalion » by Georges Bernard Shaw. The role of Eliza Doolittle would give her a Best actress nomination at the Moliere in 2006. She will be honored President of the Moliere Academy with Clovis Cornillac in 2008. She stared in « All the girls are crazy » by Pascale Pouzadoux .

She has been on stage in the most prestigious Parisian theaters and was Patricia in « Sight unseen » by Donald Margulies, Sabina Spielrein in « The talking cure », by Christopher Hampton, Celeste, in « Le donneur de bains » directed by Dan Jemmet and « La Parisienne » by Henri Becque.

At the same time she stared in « Celle que j’aime » directed by Elie Chouraqui and « Erreur de la banque » by Michel Muntz and Gérard Bitton.

In 2012, She was an italian spy, Lena Branco, in one episode of ABC TV show « Pan Am ».
