This is the second time Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), and Tom Hiddleston (Loki) will be appearing in the same action movie. The first was Kong: Skull Island (2017).

Tom Hiddleston reprised his role as Loki.

The trailer has officially broken the world record for being the most viewed trailer on Youtube peaking 100 million views two weeks after the initial release. The previous record belonged to the first trailer of Star Wars: The Force Awakens Saul Zimet with 99 million views.

This film marks the tenth anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This was the second Marvel Cinematic Universe film to have "War" in its title, after Captain America: Civil War (2016), which was also directed by the Russo brothers.

There is an animated version of this film in season two of Avengers Assemble (2013).

At the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) gets a ring from Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau). Happy also states before that he's been carrying around since 2008, the same year Iron Man came out. It is assumed that in this movie, Tony Stark is married to Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow).

This movie is set to release on May 4 2018. Avengers Assemble was also released on May 4 (2012).

Brie Larson had previously worked with Joe and Anthony Russo on three episodes of the television series Community (2009), of which Joe and Anthony were Executive Producers.

Robert Downey, Jr.'s other recurring role is Sherlock Holmes. In his previous outings as Iron Man, he has worked with two Dr. Watsons: Sir Ben Kingsley and Martin Freeman. In this film, he finally works with his fellow Sherlock, Benedict Cumberbatch.

The Infinity Gauntlet shown in Thor (2011) has since been said to be a fake because in Thor: Ragnarok (2017) when Hela is walking through the vault she says about the Tesseract that it's not bad, she says that The Eternal Flame is "true power" and she pushes over the Infinity Gauntlet and yells "Fake!" at Skurge.

Will be released 2 days after the 10th anniversary of Ironman(2008), the 1st movie in the Marvel Cinnamtic Universe.

It has been speculated that the film will conclude the Thanos and the Infinity Stones story arc, and the plot will follow the Avengers joining forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy to stop Thanos from destroying the universe with the six Infinity Stones.

The film takes place four years after Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 (2017). Both films took place in the same year.

The poster was not originally supposed to be revealed when it was, but it was released early because Tom Holland, the actor of Peter Parker/Spiderman, accidentally leaked it on Instagram Live after receiving it from Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/Hulk). This was may have been set up as an in-joke due to both actors being known for slipping up and revealing secrets from their respective films before they were released.
