In fact it is just the abbreviation of "Alternating Current/Direct Current". Additionally, the band claim to have no knowledge at the time of their initial rise to fame that their name was British slang for bisexuality. edit

stars  It was Bon Scott who told Angus Young about Brian Johnson (which lead to picking him as the new vocalist after Bon's death): "There's this guy up there screaming at the top of his lungs and then the next thing you know he hits the deck. He's on the floor, rolling around and screaming. I thought it was great, and then to top it off - you couldn't get a better encore - they came in and wheeled the guy off!" edit
