Cuba Gooding Sr. was reportedly found dead in Woodland Hills, California, on Thursday, KCBS confirms. He was 72.
According to TMZ, the soul singer was found slumped over in his parked silver Jaguar. The outlet also reports that the fire department attempted CPR, but was unsuccessful, noting that police suspect he died from an overdose.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department tells ET that they received a call for a medical response at the address in Woodland Hills at 12:58 p.m. on Wednesday.
"There was no transport provided," they added. "An adult male was determined dead on scene."
