It is adjacent to Shenzhen River and Hong Kong to the south, and is surrounded by Luohu, Longgang and Pingshan districts of Shenzhen.

    Minsk World (Chinese: 明思克航母世界; pinyin: Míngsīkè Hángmǔ Shìjiè) was a military theme park located in Dapeng Bay, Shatoujiao, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. It included the former Soviet (later Russian) aircraft carrier Minsk, redesigned as a tourist attraction. The theme park opened on 10 May 2000. As of 2005, it had attracted more than five million visitors and generated 450 million yuan in revenue. The park closed in February 2016 and the aircraft carrier was moved to Zhoushan for repairs, after which it would be moved to another theme park in Nantong, Jiangsu.

    OCT East (Chinese: 东部华侨城) is a major entertainment and resort complex in Yantian, Shenzhen, China. It was constructed at a cost of CNY 3.5 billion and covers an area of nearly 9 km (900 ha; 3.5 sq mi; 2,200 acres). Construction started in 2004 and it was opened in 2007. It is divided into 3 theme parks, namely Knight Valley (大侠谷), Tea Stream Resort Valley (茶溪谷) and Wind Valley (云海谷) and features 8 hotels and a Buddhist Temple.

    Shatoujiao is a subdistrict of Yantian District, Shenzhen, Guangdong, located on the border of Shenzhen and Hong Kong, China. The population is mainly composed of migrant workers from all parts of China along with a small number of Russians. Shatoujiao is a port with cargo coming into and exiting Yantian. It has a road connecting to Luohu, with regular bus services to Shenzhen's main train terminus and through connections to Guangzhou. The subdistrict lies near a highway that links to Meixian and Chaozhou while the Shenzhen railway is also part of the transport links between Hong Kong and Beijing.
