Jack Patrick Dorsey (born November 19, 1976) is an American technology entrepreneur and philanthropist who is the co-founder and CEO of Twitter, and the founder and CEO of Square, a financial payments company.

Christopher Isaac "Biz" Stone (born March 10, 1974) is an American entrepreneur who is the co-founder of Twitter, among other Internet-based services. Biz was the creative director at Xanga from 1999–2001. Stone co-founded Jelly, with Ben Finkel. Jelly was launched in 2014 and is described as a new kind of search engine with the core assumption that for every question there is a person with the answer. Stone was Jelly’s CEO until its acquisition by Pinterest in 2017. On May 16, 2017, Biz Stone announced he was returning to Twitter Inc. in an unannounced role.

Evan Clark Williams (born 31 March 1972) is an American technology entrepreneur who is the co-founder of several technology companies, most importantly Twitter. Williams was previously chairman and CEO of Twitter. He also founded Blogger and Medium, two of the largest and most notable internet platforms.

Richard William Costolo () (born September 10, 1963) was the CEO of Twitter from 2010 to 2015; he also served as the COO before becoming CEO. He took over as CEO from Evan Williams in October 2010. On June 11, 2015, it was announced that Costolo would step down as CEO on July 1, 2015 and would be replaced by Twitter co-founder and chairman Jack Dorsey on an interim basis until the Board of Directors could find a replacement. On August 8, 2015, The New York Times reported that Costolo would be leaving Twitter's Board of Directors by the end of the year or when a new CEO is appointed.

Anthony Noto (born 2 May 1968) is an American businessman, the CEO of SoFi, and the former COO of Twitter.

Katie Jacobs Stanton (born October 17, 1970) is an American executive. She is the Founder and General Partner of Moxxie Ventures. Prior to starting Moxxie Ventures, Stanton was the CMO of Color Genomics and the Vice President of Global Media at Twitter. Stanton was on Forbes list as the 56th most powerful woman in the world. She sits on the list for People Magazine's 25 Most Intriguing People. Stanton has also been featured in Vogue and Fortune Magazine. She worked at Twitter from July 2010 through January 2016. Stanton sits on the Board of Directors for Vivendi and Time.

X, commonly referred to by its former name Twitter, is a social networking service. With around 600 million users, it is one of the world's largest social media websites and the seventh-most visited website in the world. Users can share short text messages, images, and videos in posts (formerly "tweets") and like or repost/retweet other users' content. X also includes direct messaging, video and audio calling, bookmarks, lists and communities, and Spaces, a social audio feature. Users can vote on context added by approved users using the Community Notes feature.

On December 15, 2022, Twitter suspended the accounts of ten journalists who have covered the company and its owner, Elon Musk. They included reporters Keith Olbermann, Steven L. Herman, and Donie O'Sullivan, and journalists from The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, and The Intercept. The suspensions came after an incident that occurred on December 14, when Musk's 2-year-old son was followed by a stalker while he was traveling in a car, the stalker thought Musk was in the car. Musk said the accounts had violated a policy on doxxing. Posters on behalf of the owners of the accounts were quick to claim that the suspensions were permanent before Musk clarified account access would be restricted for seven days. Some of the accounts were restored earlier.

Market Square (formerly the Western Furniture Exchange and Merchandise Mart, the San Francisco Mart, and, colloquially, the Twitter Building) is an Art Deco building in the Mid-Market neighborhood of San Francisco, California, United States. Located at 1355 Market Street, it was constructed in 1937 and originally served as a showroom for retailers and wholesalers in the furniture industry. In the early 21st century, the building underwent an extensive conversion into office and retail space, and today is most well known as the headquarters for X Corp., the owner of the social networking service Twitter.

X Corp. is an American technology company established by Elon Musk in 2023 as the successor to Twitter, Inc. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of X Holdings Corp., which is itself owned by Musk. The company owns the social networking service Twitter (currently rebranding to X) and has announced plans to use it as a base for other offerings.
