Baruch Jacob Placzek (1 October 1834 – 17 September 1922), also known by the pen name Benno Planek, was a Moravian rabbi, author, poet, orator, and naturalist. He was the last Landesrabbiner of Moravia, which position he held from 1884 until his death. As a writer, he published numerous sermons, speeches, and obituaries, as well as scientific, lyrical, and narrative works.

Daniel Stolz von Stolzenberg (Daniel Stolcius) (1600–1660) was a Bohemian physician and writer on alchemy, a pupil of Michael Maier in Prague. [2] His name is often given as 'von Stolcenberg', i.e. from Stolzenberg, or 'von Stolcenbeerg'.

Cosmas of Prague (Czech: Kosmas Pražský; Latin: Cosmas Decanus; c.– October 21, 1125) was a priest, writer and historian born in a noble family in Bohemia. Between 1075 and 1081, he studied in Liège. After his return to Bohemia, he became a priest and married Božetěcha, with whom he probably had a son. In 1086, Cosmas was appointed prebendary (canonicus) of Prague, a prestigious position. As prebendary he also travelled through Europe on official matters.

Bohuslav Reynek (31 May 1892 in Petrkov (part of Lípa) - 28 October 1971, in Petrkov) was one of the most important Czech poets, writers, painters and translators of the 20th century.
