Malika Pukhraj (Urdu: ملكہ پکھراج‎) (1912–2004) was a highly popular Ghazal and folk singer of Pakistan. She was generally known as "Malika", meaning "The Queen", publicly. She was extremely popular for her rendition of Hafeez Jalandhri's nazm song, Abhi tau main jawan hoon ("I am still young"), which is enjoyed by millions not only in Pakistan, but also in India. Others among her popular numbers were Lo phir basant aaii, Quli Qutub's Piya baaj piyala piya jaey na, and Faiz Ahmed Faiz's Mere qatil mere dildar mere paas raho.

Krishna Chattopadhyay (1 October 1935 – 23 May 2009) was an Indian singer, who along with her contemporary Manju Gupta, was the leading exponent of the songs composed by Atulprasad Sen, Dwijendralal Ray and Rajanikanta Sen. She also sang compositions by Himangshu Dutta.

Raj Begum (27 March 1927 – 26 October 2016) was a leading 20th-century Kashmiri singer. She was also known as the Melody Queen of Kashmir.She was honoured with Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and India's fourth highest civilian award the Padma Shri in 2002. Begum was born in Srinagar in 1927 and died in 2016, aged 89.

Shameema Dev Azad is an Indian singer from Jammu and Kashmir. Her husband is Ghulam Nabi Azad, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.

Vibha Saraf is a Kashmiri singer-songwriter and Bollywood playback singer. She performs folk songs and writes and performs music for soundtracks, primarily Kashmiri folk-inspired songs. Her work has been featured on the soundtracks for the films Raazi, which went to win Best Film in the 64th Filmfare Awards, and Gully Boy, the fourth highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2019. In 2019, she was jointly nominated with Harshdeep Kaur for Best Female Playback Singer for the 65th Filmfare Awards and Best Female Playback Singer for the 20th International Indian Film Academy Awards for the song Dilbaro, from the 2018 drama thriller Raazi.
