    The COMEN (COnfederación MEditerránea de Natación) Cup was a competition in the sport of water polo, organized by the Mediterranean Swimming Confederation the period from 1984 to 2007. Participation rights had clubs from European, African and Asian countries bordering the shores of the Mediterranean Sea like Spain, France, Italy, Malta, Greece, Cyprus, Egypt, Yugoslavia and after her split Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia. Ιn addition there was the possibility of participation of clubs that did not qualify, simply as visitors.

    The Championnat de France de water-polo féminin is the premier championship for women's water polo clubs in France. First held in 1983, it is currently contested by seven teams. It is currently granted two spots in the Champions Cup and two in the LEN Trophy.

    Club Natació Terrassa is a Catalan sports club from Terrassa, Catalonia. Originally founded in 1932 as a water polo and swimming club, it subsequently created athletics, basketball, field hockey, figure skating, frontenis, football, football tennis, judo, karate, mountaineering, padel tennis, triathlon and valencian pilota sections. Both the men's and women's water polo currently play in the Spanish premier championships; the male team has played regularly the LEN Trophy, while the female team made its debut in the División de Honor in 2010. The swimming section has provided three swimmers for the Summer Olympics between the 1980 and 2004 editions: Natalia Más, Cristina Rey and Laura Roca.

    Centre Natació Mataró, also known is a Catalan sports club from Mataró, Barcelona created in 1932. It is active in swimming, water polo, table tennis and triathlon. The men's and women's water polo teams play in the División de Honor Masculina and the División de Honor Femenina respectively. The male team played LEN competitions for the first time in the 2003–04 LEN Trophy, while the female team made its debut in the 2009–10 LEN Trophy. They are also known respectively as Mataró Quadis and Mataró El Tot for sponsorship reasons. The women's table tennis section has also represented Spain in the ETTU Cup.

    Club de Natación Alcorcón was a Spanish swimming and water polo club from Alcorcón, Madrid founded in 1989. Its women's team won both the national championship and the national cup, and it took part in the European Cup, reaching the quarter-finals in 2010. Later that year the club collapsed financially and it was excluded from competition. A new club was subsequently created, CN Ciudad de Alcorcón.
