He was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, on the 1976 tour of South America, playing in five matches but no full internationals.

A lock, McCool attended Kereru School and then St. Patrick's College, Silverstream where he was a member of the 1st XV in 1968. He represented Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa Bush at a provincial level, and was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, in 1979. He played two matches for the All Blacks, including one test match against Australia.

    Brent Leslie Anderson (born 10 March 1960) is a former New Zealand rugby union player. A lock, Anderson represented Wairarapa Bush and Waikato at a provincial level, and was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, in 1986 and 1987. He played three matches for the All Blacks: namely a test match against Australia; and two matches against Japan that were not accorded full international status. He also won several Man of the Match awards while playing Irish club rugby, most notably in a sterling display against Thomond RFC, heavily trouncing club stalwart Mal Sherlock, in the Charity Cup.

Following a successful spell playing with Glasgow Academicals in Scotland, he was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, in 1986 and 1993, playing 10 matches, including a single test match appearance as a substitute.

    Mark Andrew Bracewell is a first class cricketer. Born on 8 October 1955 in Auckland he played one first-class match for Otago in 1977/78 and one List A one-day game in 1979/80. A right arm medium bowler and right-handed batsman, he achieved little of note in either appearance but is part of a well known New Zealand cricketing family with three brothers and a son who also played first class cricket.
