Vice presidents of Guatemala

Gustavo Adolfo Espina Salguero (26 November 1946 – 23 October 2024) was a Guatemalan politician who served as vice president from 1991 to 1993 under President Jorge Serrano.

Ingrid Roxana Baldetti Elías (born May 13, 1962) was the first female Vice President of Guatemala from 2012 until her resignation amid a corruption scandal in 2015.

Alejandro Manuel Sinibaldi Castro (1825–1896) was acting President of Guatemala from April 2, 1885, to April 5, 1885.

José María Orellana Pinto (July 11, 1872 – September 26, 1926) was a political and military leader in Guatemala. He was chief of staff of President Manuel Estrada Cabrera and President of Guatemala between 1921 and 1926, after overthrowing Conservative Unionist President Carlos Herrera. During his rule the Quetzal was established as the currency of Guatemala. Orellana Pinto died under suspicious circumstances in 1926 at the age of fifty-four. He was buried in the Guatemalan capital with state honors.

Juan Federico Ponce Vaides (26 August 1889 – 16 November 1956) was the acting President of Guatemala from 4 July 1944 to 20 October 1944. He was overthrown by a popular uprising on the 20th of October 1944 that began the Guatemalan Revolution.

Jorge Ubico Castañeda (10 November 1878 – 14 June 1946), nicknamed Number Five or also Central America's Napoleon, was a Guatemalan dictator. A general in the Guatemalan army, he was elected to the presidency in 1931, in an election where he was the only candidate. He continued his predecessors' policies of giving massive concessions to the United Fruit Company and wealthy landowners, as well as supporting their harsh labor practices. Ubico has been described as "one of the most oppressive tyrants Guatemala has ever known" who compared himself to Adolf Hitler. He was removed by a pro-democracy uprising in 1944, which led to the ten-year Guatemalan Revolution.

Ernesto Jafeth Cabrera Franco (Guatemala City, 28 November 1948) is a Guatemalan politician who served as Vice President of Guatemala from 2016 to 2020.

Clemente Marroquín Rojas (12 August 1897 – 8 April 1978) was Guatemalan journalist and politician.

Luis Alberto Flores Asturias (born 29 October 1947) is a Guatemalan athlete and politician who served as Vice President of Guatemala from January 1996 to January 2000 in the cabinet of president Álvaro Arzú. He also competed in the men's decathlon at the 1972 Summer Olympics.

Dr. José Rafael Espada (born January 14, 1944 in Guatemala City) is a former Vice President of Guatemala and a former cardiothoracic surgeon.
