Jean-Luc Marion (born 3 July 1946) is a French philosopher and Roman Catholic theologian. Marion is a former student of Jacques Derrida whose work is informed by patristic and mystical theology, phenomenology, and modern philosophy. Much of his academic work has dealt with Descartes and phenomenologists like Martin Heidegger and Edmund Husserl, but also religion. God Without Being, for example, is concerned predominantly with an analysis of idolatry, a theme strongly linked in Marion's work with love and the gift, which is a concept also explored at length by Derrida.

Roger Garaudy (17 July 1913 – 13 June 2012) was a French philosopher, French resistance fighter and a communist author. He converted to Islam in 1982. In 1998, he was convicted and fined for Holocaust denial under French law for claiming that the death of six million Jews was a "myth".

Emmanuel Levinas (12 January 1906 – 25 December 1995) was a French philosopher of Lithuanian Jewish ancestry who is known for his work related to Jewish philosophy, existentialism, ethics, phenomenology and ontology.

Henri Léon Lebesgue ForMemRS (June 28, 1875 – July 26, 1941) was a French mathematician known for his theory of integration, which was a generalization of the 17th-century concept of integration—summing the area between an axis and the curve of a function defined for that axis. His theory was published originally in his dissertation Intégrale, longueur, aire ("Integral, length, area") at the University of Nancy during 1902.

Nikolaos Politis (spelled also as Nicolas Politis; Greek: Νικόλαος Πολίτης; 1872 in Corfu – 1942 in Cannes, France) was a Greek diplomat of the early 20th century. He was a professor of law by training, and prior to the First World War taught law at Paris University and the University of Aix. A supporter of Eleftherios Venizelos, he served alongside Venizelos as delegate to the London Conference of 1912–1913, and as his Minister of Foreign Affairs in 1916-1920 and again in 1922. Also served as Greek representative to the League of Nations. In 1929 promoted a resolution at the League disarmament commission that enabled the commission to continue its work.

Helen Doron (born 5 November 1955) is a British linguist and educator who lives in Israel. She is the founder of the Helen Doron Educational Group which offer English classes to young people. The various Helen Doron learning centres are linked to each other through a franchise network which is based in Misgav. She lives in Hararit.

Albert Rivaud (May 14, 1876 – September 15, 1955) was a French philosopher and classical scholar. In 1908 he was appointed professor of philosophy at the University of Poitiers. In 1927 he succeeded Léon Brunschvicg as professor of philosophy at the Sorbonne. In 1940 he served briefly as Minister of National Education in the government of Philippe Pétain.

Mikel Dufrenne (9 February 1910, in Clermont, Oise – 10 June 1995, in Paris) was a French philosopher and aesthetician. He is known as an author of existentialism and is particularly noted for the work The Phenomenology of Aesthetic Experience (1953, in French as Phénoménologie de l'expérience esthétique).
