The Houston Film Critics Society is a non-profit film critic organization in Houston, Texas, United States. The group presents an annual set of film awards for "extraordinary accomplishment in film" in a ceremony held at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. The organization, founded in 2007 by Danny Minton and Nick Nicholson, includes 25 film critics for print, radio, television, and internet publications in the greater Houston area.

Citizens for Decent Literature was a pro-censorship advocacy body founded in 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio by the Roman Catholic anti-pornography campaigner Charles Keating which advocated reading classics, not "smut."

The Big Help is a community outreach program made famous in 1994 by Nickelodeon. It was a yearly event in which kids from around the country would call in to try to get one of their local parks refurbished by Nickelodeon, the ten with the most votes would get refurbished by Nickelodeon in an eight-hour special. There were special instances like the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack where they had unscheduled specials. In 2008, a sequel emerged called The Big Green Help, which was created to get kids interested in global warming.

The Bucksbaum Institute for Clinical Excellence, established in 2011, is a foundation with an emphasis on improving the doctor–patient relationship through patient care, teaching and research at the University of Chicago Medicine.

The Rochester Oral History Archive (ROHA) Project is based in Rochester, Michigan. ROHA's goal is to collect memories about the city of Rochester and compile them in a publicly accessible, digital format. The project benefits not only residents of Rochester but also non-residents who are interested in the city's history.

The Santa Clara Swim Club (abbreviated SCSC) is a renowned swimming club and team based in Santa Clara, California. Part of USA Swimming, it is a USA Swimming Gold Medal Club and a part of the Pacific LSC, sub-governed by Zone 1 South. Founded in 1951 by George Haines, the team's coach until 1974, the club has many notable alumni, including Donna de Varona, Pablo Morales, Don Schollander, Mark Spitz, Chris von Saltza, Lynn Burke, George Harrison, Steve Clark, and Paul Hait. Swimmers from the club have earned 71 Olympic medals: 42 gold, 18 silver, and 11 bronze. In 1966, the City of Santa Clara built the Santa Clara International Swim Center, which became the home of the club. It was renamed the George F. Haines International Swim Center in June 2001 in honor of its founding coach.

Girls Educational and Mentoring Services (GEMS) is a non-profit organization that provides services to commercially sexually exploited and domestically trafficked girls and young women, typically underage youth exploited by pimps and traffickers. The organization is based in Harlem, New York City, which is one of the most common places for trafficking and child exploitation. The work of GEMS is the subject of the 2007 documentary Very Young Girls. In 2007, their founder, Rachel Lloyd, wrote her autobiography, entitled Girls Like Us, that presents her personal background and her efforts to establish the GEMS organization.
