Erskine Boyce Bowles (born August 8, 1945) is an American businessman and political figure from North Carolina. He served from 2005 to 2010 as the president of the University of North Carolina system. In 1997–98 he served as White House Chief of Staff and he also ran unsuccessfully for the United States Senate from North Carolina in 2002 and 2004.

John Randolph Ingram (June 12, 1929 – January 6, 2013) was an American Democratic politician, attorney, and insurance commissioner. He served as North Carolina's Commissioner of Insurance from 1973 until 1985.

William Johnston "Billy" Armfield IV (November 3, 1934 – July 11, 2016) was an American textile business executive and philanthropist.

Adelaide Anne Gay (born November 3, 1989) is an American soccer goalkeeper currently playing for DC Power FC in the USL Super League. She previously played for Nordsjælland and Kvarnsvedens IK, Íþróttabandalag Vestmannaeyja (IBV) in Iceland and several different teams in NWSL.

Adam Parrish Warren (born August 25, 1987) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the New York Yankees organization. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Yankees, Chicago Cubs, Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres. Before beginning his professional career, Warren pitched in college baseball for the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Matthew Francis Doherty (born February 25, 1962), commonly referred as "Matt Doherty," is a former American college basketball coach best known for his time as head coach of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball team. Prior to accepting the head coaching position at UNC he spent one season as head coach of the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish men's basketball program.

Jason Alan Kilar (born April 26, 1971) is an American businessperson and a member of the board of directors for DreamWorks Animation. He became the CEO of WarnerMedia on May 1, 2020. He was previously an Amazon executive and the CEO of Hulu, a joint venture OTT media service of The Walt Disney Company (67%) and NBCUniversal (33%).

Carrol H. "Howie" Chandler (born March 16, 1952), is a retired United States Air Force four-star general. He last served as the 35th Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force from August 27, 2009 to January 14, 2011. He previously served as Commander of Pacific Air Forces from November 2007 to August 20, 2009 and Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Plans and Requirements from October 23, 2005 to November 29, 2007. As Vice Chief, he presides over the Air Staff and serves as a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Requirements Oversight Council and Deputy Advisory Working Group. He assists the Chief of Staff with organizing, training, and equipping of 680,000 active-duty, Guard, Reserve and civilian forces serving in the United States and overseas. He retired from the Air Force by March 1, 2011. In 2012 he joined Pratt & Whitney Military Engines as Vice President, Military Business Development and International Programs.

John A. Allison IV (born August 14, 1948) is an American businessman and the former CEO and president of the Cato Institute in Washington, D.C.. Allison held a number of leadership positions in BB&T Corp. from 1987 until 2010 when he retired. He now serves as a director at Moelis & Company.
