Turkish singers

Hadise Açıkgöz (born 22 October 1985) is a Belgian-Turkish singer, songwriter, dancer and television personality. Born and raised in Belgium, her family is of Lezgin-Kumyk origin who settled in Sivas, Turkey. In 2003, she participated in the Belgian singing competition show Idool 2003, but rose to fame after releasing her debut album Sweat in 2005. The album spawned 5 singles and earned Hadise both a TMF Award (Belgium) and Golden Butterfly Award (Turkey). Hadise established and maintained a successful career in both Belgium and Turkey with the release of her self-titled album Hadise (2008). The album, which includes English and Turkish songs, features the single "Deli Oğlan" that became a number-one hit in Turkey.

Murat Boz (born 7 March 1980) is a Turkish singer-songwriter and actor. After finishing his primary and secondary education in his birthplace, Karadeniz Ereğli, he moved to Istanbul and enrolled in Istanbul Bilgi University in 1999 and later continued his studies at the Istanbul Technical University. At the same time he began to perform as a backing vocalist for Tarkan.

Sırrı Murat Dalkılıç (born 7 August 1983) is a Turkish pop singer and songwriter.

Asuman Krause (born 1 March 1976) is a Turkish actress, singer, model and TV presenter who was crowned Miss Turkey in 1998.

Simge Sağın (born 8 August 1981) is a Turkish singer, songwriter and composer. From early 2010s, she started to make Turkish pop songs, and with the release of her single "Miş Miş" in 2015 she became one of the well-known artists in Turkey.

İbrahim Tatlıses (born İbrahim Tatlı in 1952) is a KURDISH folk singer and former actor. Since the 1970s he has been one of the best-known and most successful singers of the pop Arabesk style. Tatlıses has recorded 42 albums, including notable albums such as Ayağında Kundura and Selam Olsun and was the host of the highly popular television programme İbo Show. He was also a leading actor that appeared in several dozen films, and also has had many business ventures.

Nilüfer Yumlu (born 31 May 1955), commonly known as Nilüfer, is a Turkish pop singer.

Nükhet Duru (born 19 May 1954) is a Turkish singer. She started singing at Florya Deniz Club in Istanbul in 1971. She released her first 45 album “Aklımda Sen Fikrimde Sen – Karadır Kaşların” in 1974. It was followed by many singles like “Beni Benimle Bırak – Cambaz- Harp ve Sulh-Gerisi Vız Gelir” (1975), with which she won a Golden Plate. Her first LP album “Bir Nefes Gibi” was released in 1977. In that same year, Duru was awarded the “Most Successful Female Singer of the Year”. In 1978, she participated in a song contest with Modern Folk Trio, which was held in Seoul, and won first place. In the 1980s, she began singing Turkish Traditional music. Besides as a pop and Turkish traditional music singer, Duru has performed on TV programs, musicals, films and TV dramas. She has received many awards.

Suna Yıldızoğlu (born Sonja Eady on 26 February 1955) is an English-Turkish actress, based in Turkey.

Genco Ecer (born 13 December 1985) is a Turkish Cypriot singer and athlete. Prior to his music career, Ecer represented Northern Cyprus in its national basketball and swimming team. In 2009, Ecer released his debut album Kandıramazsın. The album is a blend of R&B, funky house, and pop. He gained success with his single "U Dönüşü".
