This Is Hell

This Is Hell are an American hardcore punk band from Long Island, New York. The band is known for extensive touring and high energy concerts. To date, the band has released four studio albums and EPs.

Sundowning is the debut full length album by Long Island hardcore punk band This Is Hell. The title refers to the sundowning associated with dementia that is common in Alzheimer's disease. The success of the album landed This Is Hell in the "100 Bands You Need To Know for 2006" in popular music magazine Alternative Press.

Misfortunes the second full length album by hardcore punk band This Is Hell. It was released on February 19th, 2008 through Trustkill Records. After extensive worldwide touring in 2007, the band managed to find time to write and record an album. An earlier version of "Infected" can also be found on the bands prior release Cripplers. An additional track, "Cement Shoes", was found in the leak of the album and is also available on the UK version of the CD release.

Warbirds is an extended play by American hardcore punk band This Is Hell. The album was released on August 18, 2009 through Think Fast! Records. Similar to This Is Hell's 2007 extended play, Cripplers, this release features unreleased new material in addition to cover songs. The album is available in 7" vinyl and digital download formats, and will not be available on CD after Think Fast's decision in January 2009 to only release music in digital and vinyl formats. Warbirds was This Is Hell's first release since their departure with Trustkill Records, as announced in April 2009. The first pressing was limited to 1,300 physical copies (300 in clear/blue vinyl, 700 in black vinyl and 300 in white/pink vinyl as a Hot Topic exclusive color).

This Is Hell / Nightmare Of You is a split EP featuring hardcore punk band This Is Hell and alternative rock band Nightmare of You. Both bands contribute two unreleased songs to the album. This Is Hell's tracks were recorded for their previous studio album Misfortunes, but did not make the final cut.

Cripplers is a limited vinyl only 7-inch EP by the hardcore punk band This Is Hell. It features cover songs, unreleased songs, and one new song "Infected" later to be featured on their 2008 album Misfortunes. However, this track is an earlier recording and sounds slightly different from the track found on Misfortunes.

This Is Hell is the first EP from the band This Is Hell. After quickly forming the band and releasing a demo ep, This Is Hell returned to the studio to work on their next release. For an early release, This is Hell generated a lot of hype and received good reviews. Some critics still argue that this was the bands finest work to date.

This Is Hell Demo was the very first physical release of songs recorded by hardcore punk band This Is Hell. The album was untitled and released on both CD and 7" vinyl formats, also in Europe on Broken Glasses Records (distributed by NO PANIC! Records now). All formats are out of print and difficult to find. The song "Wreck Your Life" was later released on a label sampler cd from Trustkill, the label that This Is Hell later signed to and released their debut full length "Sundowning," but not before a stint on State On Mind Recordings who released their self-titled EP.. On that same song, the opening line of the lyric includes the bands name, and was possibly the inspiration for the name. The lyric reads: "Brandon put it best when he told me 'this is hell,' wiser words have never been said."
