The Tubes albums

The Completion Backward Principle is the fifth studio album by the American rock group the Tubes. It is the group's first for Capitol Records. It was accompanied by a long form music video release of the same name, although it did not contain all of the songs from the album. It is a concept album presented as a motivational business document. The album contains two hit singles, "Don't Want to Wait Anymore" and "Talk to Ya Later."

Outside Inside is a 1983 release on Capitol Records by The Tubes. The album was produced by David Foster. The Tubes had their biggest radio hit with the single "She's a Beauty" (flipside of single was non-album track "When You're Ready to Come").

The Tubes is the debut album of The Tubes. Songs from this album which received significant airplay include "What Do You Want from Life" and "White Punks on Dope". The latter song peaked at number 28 on the UK singles chart.

Remote Control is the fifth album released by The Tubes. This was their first to be produced by the studio "wizard" Todd Rundgren (the other being 1985's Love Bomb). It is a concept album about a television-addicted idiot savant based on the book Being There by Jerzy Kosinski.

James "Mingo" Lewis (born December 1940) is an American jazz percussionist and drummer who played with Santana, Al Di Meola (he was a band member for Di Meola's first five albums), and The Tubes.

T.R.A.S.H. (Tubes Rarities and Smash Hits) is a compilation album by the rock band The Tubes, released in November 1981.

Now is the third album released by The Tubes. It was produced by John Anthony. Fed up with constant meddling from Scoppa and Wood under the direction of Spooner including surreptitiously remixing a track when John was not at the studio, John Anthony was advised to quit the project by Jerry Moss. Head of A&M A&R Kip Cohen said they took advantage of John and believed they overran the budget to bump up their union fees. Bill Spooner took over and completed the project with the help of engineer Don Wood and Bud Scoppa. John believes in retrospect he should not have tried to be "one of the boys" with this band but remains proud of his idea to get the band playing again live in the studio liked they used to do in the Bay Area bars. 'My Head Is My Only House Unless It Rains' is a firm Anthony favourite and sonically shows what he was trying to achieve.

Love Bomb is an album by The Tubes produced by Todd Rundgren. It was released in 1985 on Capitol Records. It is the last major-label release by The Tubes.

The Tubes returned to the studio in 1996 for this release. Genius of America marked a number of firsts for the band: the first CD-only release, the first self-produced release, and the first body of work which includes Gary Cambra. The line-up features Fee, Roger, Rick, Prairie and Gary Cambra.

Released in 1976, Young and Rich was the second album released by The Tubes. While Young and Rich is no longer available on CD, all of the songs from Young and Rich and their first record are now available on a single CD from Acadia Records called White Punks on Dope.
