The Notorious B.I.G

Christopher George Latore Wallace (May 21, 1972 – March 9, 1997), better known by his stage names The Notorious B.I.G. or Biggie Smalls, was an American rapper. Rooted in East Coast hip hop and particularly gangsta rap, he is widely considered to be one of the greatest rappers of all time. Wallace became known for his distinctive laid-back lyrical delivery, offsetting the lyrics' often grim content.

"Notorious B.I.G." is a song and single by The Notorious B.I.G. from the album Born Again, which features Lil' Kim and Puff Daddy. As a tribute song, Lil' Kim and Puff Daddy's verses have little relevance to Biggie's verse, which is about being in the hospital while being comforted by attractive female nurses. It samples the song "Notorious" by Duran Duran.

"Nasty Girl" is a song by rapper The Notorious B.I.G. It was released in 2005 in the US and on January 16, 2006 in the UK. The single reached #1 in the United Kingdom (this being his first #1 in the country, just under a year after "rival" rapper 2Pac had also achieved his first #1 there also with "Ghetto Gospel"). The song features guest appearances from Jagged Edge, P. Diddy, Avery Storm, and Nelly and the video also contains guest appearances from Pharrell, Usher, Fat Joe, 8 Ball & MJG, Teairra Mari, Jazze Pha, DJ Green Lantern, Naomi Campbell and Memphis Bleek. It can be found on the album Duets: The Final Chapter, a remixed album of Biggie Smalls' work. The lyrical section rapped by Notorious B.I.G is actually lifted from another of his songs called "Nasty Boy", featured on from his second album Life After Death. Despite this, the production to the song "Nasty Boy" is completely different from that for "Nasty Girl", and apart from the lyrical sample, and the second verse (rapped by P. Diddy) rapped in the style of Biggie's second verse of Nasty Boy, the two songs bear no similarities. The chorus, sung by Jagged Edge, which has the line "Grab your titties for B.I.G.", references "Player's Anthem", which he says "Bitches, rub your titties if you love Big Poppa".

"Juicy" is a single by American hip hop artist The Notorious B.I.G. and his solo debut single from his 1994 debut album Ready to Die. It was produced by Poke of Trackmasters & Sean "Puffy" Combs. It contains a sample of Mtume's "Juicy Fruit", but is directly sampled from the song's "Fruity Instrumental" mix, and has an alternative chorus sung by girl group Total. The song is considered by Rolling Stone, The Source and About.com as one of the greatest hip hop songs of all time. The song has sold over 607,000 copies.

"Sky's the Limit" is the third single from The Notorious B.I.G.'s second album Life After Death. It features vocals from 112 and somber production from Clark Kent. It contains a sample from the song "My Flame" by Bobby Caldwell and "Keep On" by D. Train. In the US, it was released as a triple A-side along with "Going Back to Cali" and "Kick In the Door". The track was certified Gold by the RIAA in 1998.

"Hypnotize" is the Grammy-nominated hip-hop song recorded by American rapper The Notorious B.I.G. It was released as the first single from his album Life After Death on April 1, 1997. It was the fifth song by a credited artist to hit number 1 posthumously. It was ranked number 30 on Rolling Stone’s 50 greatest rap songs of all time.

"Big Poppa" is the Grammy nominated and Billboard Award winning second single off The Notorious B.I.G.'s Ready to Die released in 1994 and the single was released in 1995. The song was his first Top 10 hit, peaking at number 6 in the US. It features a sample of the song "Between the Sheets" written by Ronald Isley, O'Kelly Isley, R.B. Isley, E.J. Isley, and C. Jasper, and originally performed by The Isley Brothers. This song also features uncredited background rap vocals from Busta Rhymes.

Biggie & Tupac is a 2002 feature-length documentary film about murdered rappers Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace and Tupac "2Pac" Shakur by Nick Broomfield.

"Can't You See" is a song by R&B girl group Total, released as their debut single. The track was released from the New Jersey Drive Soundtrack and also later appeared on their debut album. After making their recording debut on his tracks "Juicy", "One More Chance" and "One More Chance" (Hip Hop Remix)", The Notorious B.I.G. returned the favour with an intro rap verse to the song. The track was written and arranged by Terri & Monica's Terri Robinson, produced entirely by Sean "Puffy" Combs with instrumentation provided by associates Rashad Smith, Herb Middleton and Chucky Thompson and contains a sample from James Brown's "The Payback". The track was a success both on the mainstream U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart, reaching number thirteen and the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, where it made number three.
