"The Twist" is an American pop song written and originally released in early 1959 by Hank Ballard and the Midnighters as a B-side to "Teardrops on Your Letter". Ballard's version was a moderate 1960 hit, peaking at number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"She's the One" is a rhythm and blues song written by Hank Ballard and first recorded by his group The Midnighters. Originally issued on Federal Records as the B-side of their #1 R&B hit "Annie Had a Baby", it received an A-side release (Federal 12205) later the same year.

"Let's Go, Let's Go, Let's Go" (also known as "There's a Thrill on The Hill") is a 1960 pop and R&B single written by Hank Ballard and performed by Hank Ballard and The Midnighters. The single was the last of the Midnighters' three number-one singles on the R&B chart, staying there for three non-consecutive weeks. "Let's Go, Let's Go, Let's Go" is also Ballard & the Midnighters' most successful pop single, peaking at number six.

"Annie Had a Baby" is a 1954 rhythm and blues song written by Henry Glover (co-credited to Lois Mann) and recorded by The Midnighters. The single was one of many answer songs to "Work With Me, Annie", a previous hit for The Midnighters. "Annie Had a Baby" was also a number one hit on the R&B chart. A credible inspiration for this song was when a Los Angeles DJ played "Work With Me, Annie" then joked about a follow-up record titled "Annie Had a Baby" which caused King Records to receive orders for the then non-existing single. So the song was composed, recorded and released to fill the orders.

"Work with Me, Annie" is a 12-bar blues song with words and music by Hank Ballard. It was recorded by Hank Ballard & the Midnighters (formerly The Royals) in Cincinnati on the Federal Records label on January 14, 1954, and released the following month. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) immediately opposed it due to its overtly sexual lyrics, lyrics that had crossed over and were now being listened to by a white teenage audience. Because the record was in such demand and received so much publicity, attempts to restrict it failed and the record shot to number one in the US Billboard R&B chart, and remained there for seven weeks.
