Texas A&M University

The Fightin' Texas Aggie Band (also known as the Noble Men of Kyle or just the Aggie Band) is the official marching band of Texas A&M University. Composed of over 400 men and women from the school's Corps of Cadets, it is the largest military marching band in the world. The band's complex straight-line marching maneuvers are performed exclusively to traditional marches.

Richard Bowen Loftin (born June 29, 1949), better known as R. Bowen Loftin, is an American academic and the former chancellor of the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. He came to Missouri in 2013 after serving as the 24th President of Texas A&M University.

Elsa Alina Murano (born August 14, 1959 in Havana, Cuba) was the 23rd President of Texas A&M University. On June 14, 2009, Murano resigned as president of the university, effective June 15, 2009.

The Texas A&M Wind Symphony is a 63 member ensemble, representing "the finest wind and percussion players on the TAMU campus." The conductor of the Wind Symphony is Dr. Timothy Rhea and his assistant is Lt. Travis Almany. The band rehearses in the E.V. Adams Band Hall.

The Hagler Institute for Advanced Study at Texas A&M University (HIAS), formerly the Texas A&M University Institute for Advanced Study (TIAS), is a research institute at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, that brings world-renowned scholars to collaborate on frontier research with faculty and students at A&M, with particular focus on “rising star” faculty. The institute cuts across all fields of graduate study in A&M's colleges, schools and the Health Science Center. The institute integrates a visiting scholar with the relevant department endeavors and with related specialists in adjoining fields. The Institute is named in honor of Jon Hagler, a distinguished graduate of Texas A&M and a philanthropist who donated $20 million dollars to launch the endowment for the institute.

Texas A&M University (Texas A&M, A&M, or TAMU) is a public, land-grant, research university in College Station, Texas. KANM Student Radio is a student-run free-format internet radio station owned and licensed by Texas A&M University, serving the Bryan-College Station metropolitan area. Broadcasting as "the college station of College Station", KANM's studio is located at the Memorial Student Center on the Texas A&M campus.

The president of Texas A&M University is the chief officer of the academic administration of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Forty-one people—thirty-nine men and two women—have held this office, including those who were in the position when it was named Chairman of the Faculty between 1883-1890, and those who held the position in an acting or interim capacity.

The Texas A&M University School of Nursing in Bryan, Texas is the nursing school of Texas A&M University and a component of Texas A&M Health. It was established in 2008 to address the critical nursing shortage in Texas.

John A. Gladysz, an organometallic chemist, is a Distinguished Professor and holds the Dow Chair in Chemical Invention at Texas A&M University. Professor Gladysz is a native of the Kalamazoo, Michigan area. He obtained his B.S. degree from the University of Michigan (1971) and his Ph.D. degree from Stanford University (1974). He subsequently held faculty positions at UCLA (1974-1982) and the University of Utah (1982-1998). He then accepted the Chair of Organic Chemistry at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany. In 2008, he returned to North America as a Distinguished Professor and holder of the Dow Chair in Chemical Invention at Texas A&M University.
